I arrived in the legal industry by accident but stayed because it is filled with incredible people that want to help. I’ve spent the last two decades in IT building on success and (mostly) learning from failure. I see IT as people, not plumbing. I believe only diverse teams can solve complex problems. When I hear any team referred to solely as “the business”, I suppress the urge to scream. I value transparency. I believe that a qualified “yes” is better than “no”, but that “no” always beats a lie. I look for positive risk; uncovering it is everyone’s responsibility. I feel there is never a good reason for bullets in PowerPoint and that "building brands" is not just Marketing's job. I understand "conflict" is not a four letter word, “fear” is, and silence does not equal acceptance. I embrace the Oxford comma. When we disagree, I look for why.
