I have a wealth of experience in Public and Private Cloud and Hybrid infrastructure including Microsoft Azure and designing technical architecture. I've many years experience of Software design and implementation using Microsoft technologies and the LAMP, stack across a variety of systems from custom e-commerce systems and content management sites to high availability payment portals and back end systems that process tens of thousands of transactions per day worth billions of pounds annually. I've worked on broader Enterprise solutions putting in place capability models and roadmaps and bringing together disparate solutions. This has often required putting in place a data strategy and connecting Software Development, Data and Infrastructure designs and processes in a meaningful way. Having experience of PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, Visa and MasterCard standards, I promote defence in depth from infrastructure through to backend software systems while being mindful of ensuring the right level of pragmatism to enable a secure environment with a good customer experience. I would describe myself as a long term thinker and technologist with an ability to create and translate vision to operational execution using appropriate methodologies and the right level of oversight and delegation.
