Lumber River Council Of Governments is primarily engaged in providing social services, not elsewhere classified, including primarily engaged in community improvement and social change. Organizations primarily engaged in soliciting contributions on their own account and administering appropriations and allocating funds among other agencies engaged in social welfare services are also included.

I enjoy my work in local government consulting, planning and public policy. The folks with whom I have had the pleasure of working, particularly those in the rural parts of our state, serve as a wonderful reminder of what it takes to "do a lot with a little" - not a bad lesson for any of us particularly in the current economy. Most recently, I have invested in my education again and attained a paralegal certificate at Meredith, a nationally recognized program. I am hoping to combine policy, program management and a little bit of law in a future job. I continue to enjoy spending time with my family (son at NC State, daughter at UGA Law School), my pets and garden.
