✸ WHO I AM AND WHAT I DO I'm a strategic marketing and communications leader with more than 12 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Currently, I provide regional oversight and support for marketing and communications professionals at acute care hospitals and systems across four states. A native of Virginia, I was born and raised in Martinsville, a small city not far from the North Carolina border, where I happily live and work today. I am the proud mom of two energetic, competitive children and two rambunctious Whoodles and have been married to my husband Haze for 12 years. In our spare time, our family plans epic road trips to explore new places, see new sights and make memories. ✸ MY BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE For more than a decade, I have developed and implemented communications, marketing and sales strategies for regional healthcare systems, community hospitals, physician practices and pharmaceutical companies; however, I am most proud of the relationships I have formed with my marketing and communications leaders, service line directors, physicians and C-suite executives. I am experienced in leveraging omni-channel media strategies, including earned/PR, digital platforms (SEO/SEM/social), CRM and traditional media to build brand awareness and loyalty and achieve business growth objectives. I attended the University of Virginia for my undergraduate degree (Wahoowa) and later earned an MBA from Averett University in 2014. ✸ MY LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY AND STYLE I believe that all great leaders start with why and that vulnerability inspires positive action and change.
