Ike Syed's passion lies at the intersection of technology strategy, financial investments and regulatory policy. He started his career in 1996 as an intern at Bell Northern Research (AKA Nortel - RIP), working on Advanced Intelligent Networks and Multi-Threaded Database technology. In the last 20 years, he has worked in or advised Fortune 100 companies, international NGOs and various government entities. He recently worked as Vice President of Business Development at Connectloud, a software company building next-generation technologies around cloud management/SDN/NFV platforms. Before this, he was a management consultant at Oliver Wyman and a finance executive at Fidelity Investments. Ike’s prior entrepreneurial ventures in both the Boston/Route 128 region and the Silicon Valley area have resulted in two successful exits via acquisition by Ericsson and Lucent Technologies respectively. Ike received his BASc (Honors) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada and a MS in Computer Science from Boston University. A licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), he obtained his MBA with a concentration in corporate strategy, international economics and business finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
