Marina Sominsky has over 15 years of combined project controls and information technology experience in the government, airspace, defense, construction, semiconductor and transportation industries. She works as a Senior Consultant for the Washington DC based firm Cobec. Marina's experience includes project/program management; risk management; coordination of technical proposals, specifications and financial conditions of contracts; scheduling, resource planning and project budgets. She has worked across multiple firms and industries, including Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) automation acquisition program, Kitchell, Freescale Semiconductor, NASA's Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) project, Russian Fissile Material Storage Facility (RFMSF) project, Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT), and GE Automation Systems. Marina holds certifications for Project Management Professional (PMP) and Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP). She is a member of the Association for the Advancement in Cost Engineering (AACE) International since 2008 and currently serves as the Chair of AACE Education Board. She is also the Director-at-Large for the Arizona Section, as well as the Officer of AACE Women in Project Controls (WPC) Committee. During Fall 2013 and Fall 2014 semesters, Ms. Sominsky has been a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University Del E. Webb School of Construction. She holds BS degree in Chemical Engineering, and EIT registration from KU, Laurence, Kansas.
