Career Milestones: - Worked directly with President Clinton's Secretary of Health & Human Services, Donna Shalala, Congressman Sam Farr, Director Fred Harris of the Fort Ord Reuse Authority, to facilitate a smooth transition of Fort Ord to civilian housing. - Member of the Economic Development Administration (EDA) and Housing & Urban development (HUD) mediation teams. - Significant contracting experience with the Departments of the Navy, Army Corps of Engineers Base Operating Services /Job Order Contract (BOS/JOC) at the Presidio of Monterey Military Installation. - Successful $16.8 M earthquake renovation & remodel of the historic Presidio of Monterey theater, Defense Language Institute.- Founding member Tri-County Contractors Association responsible for working with HUD mediation team that won the right to give local contractors 'bonded' jobs at the newly formed California State University Monterey Bay located at the former Fort Ord.- Recipient Army Corps of Engineers Letter of Commendation for discovering a major structural design flaw thereby preventing a possible collapse of the Presidio of Monterey theater restoration & renovation.- Supervised safety, demolition & abatement programs of hazardous ordinance & waste material at the former Fort Ord.
