In this prosperous era of the reigning Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Ministry of Health is extremely proud of one of his greatest and most exceptional medical achievement - King Fahad Medical City(KFMC). Enjoying the strategic location in the heart of Riyadh City - the capital of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, King Fahad Medical City is considered the largest and most advanced medical complex in the Middle East with a total capacity of 1095 beds.

I am the head of magnetoencephalography (MEG) unit at King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh, which is the only MEG laboratory in Saudi Arabia. My clinical work involves presurgical evaluation of patients with epilepsy and brain lesions. At present, my research focuses on extending the clinical applicability and yield of MEG, the effects of medication on brain function (pharmaco-MEG) and the neurobiological basis of mental disorders. My professional expertise covers all aspects of clinical and research MEG, and development of data analytical methods and techniques. I have also significant expertise in electroencephalography (EEG), neuroimaging and cognitive neuroscience, and applied mathematics, computer science and software engineering. My research interests span wide range of topics in clinical neurophysiology, biomedical engineering and cognitive neuroscience. I have broad professional experience, having worked in various research, clinical and leadership positions in a large scientific research institute in Japan (10 years, RIKEN Brain Science Institute), a private research company in Cyprus (8 years, AAI Scientific Cultural Services Ltd.) and the largest medical center in Saudi Arabia (since 2016, King Fahad Medical City). I have also diverse educational background, including an MSc in applied mathematics and computer science and a PhD in biology with specialization in neurophysiology. I have published numerous research papers in reputable scientific journals and conference proceedings in the field of neuroscience. I am currently the principle investigator of a number of research studies in the areas of basic and clinical medicine and applied neuroscience, and a recipient of several ongoing research grants. I have been a guest editor and an ad-hoc reviewer for a number of scientific journals, and an organizing committee member of over 10 international conferences and symposiums.
