Consultant on UK Ministry of Defence projects, on the largest UK offshore wind farm (2011) and disparate consultancy work over 30 years including natural lighting to the National Portrait Gallery, fluid dynamics, fibre optics suppliers/installers, sustainability assessments and in an expert enabling role on community projects along with continued fundamental scientific research, astronomy, and also occasional experimentation. International representative racing yachtsman and UK team captain 1980's. Developed a 42ft race yacht design with Stimpson Yachts using advanced fluid dynamics theory; won Class 1 & Overall UK Solent Series Championships 2009 (helmsman/skipper/part owner). Chairman of research, design & yacht charter company JS Marine. Owner; offshore race yachts Icom Assassin & Tusk.
