As president and CEO of Kennebec Savings Bank, a long standing community bank, I’m fortunate to be in a position where I can support Maine’s economic and community development, while providing our customers a great banking experience. Whether an individual, family or business, the entire Kennebec Savings Bank team takes great pride in meeting our customer’s needs and helping them plan to make their future all they hope it can be. I have worked up through the ranks in banking, starting as a teller in 1986 to now as president and CEO. I have personally performed nearly every job function in banking over the past 35 years. I know our bank inside and out, and feel uniquely qualified to lead this institution that’s so important to our community. My long-term vision of a vibrant, attractive, and successful State of Maine with opportunities for young people to put down roots and start a family motivates me to succeed each and every day. Access to money is essential to grow and prosper, and the people and businesses in our area need a bank that cares about their well-being. With such a strong community bank, the state will have the necessary capital it needs to facilitate growth and expansion. As a hands-on leader, I enjoy rolling up my sleeves and pitching in wherever I’m needed, in both the bank and the community. I believe that, working together, we can make this region a special place to work, live and play. My involvement with many of the area nonprofit boards, such as the Chamber of Commerce, the library and many other organizations, is my commitment to making our area a vibrant community. These organizations fill a vital need and without volunteer participation, these nonprofits would not be able to fulfill their critical missions. Hard work with a can-do spirit and a great love of our community, mixed with tremendous sense of optimism for the future are the drivers that make me the leader I am today.
