The JHPIEGO Corporation, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to improving the health of women and families throughout the world. Currently, JHPIEGO has three major awards: To promote the survival of mothers and their newborns, the Maternal and Neonatal Health Program will increase the use of key maternal and neonatal health and nutrition practices and services in regions with high levels of maternal deaths. Sant Familiale et Prvention du SIDA works to increase the availability and use of quality reproductive health services and strengthen the technical and management capacity of Africa partners. I am a Communications Specialist with 17 years’ experience in strategic communications and brand equity for international organizations. As Jhpiego Communications Manager for Africa Region, I coach and mentor communications teams in 29 countries and build their capacity to tell the impact of the organization’s innovations, partnerships, leadership in saving lives, improving health and transforming the futures of women and families in the continent. I lead the writing of country strategic communications plans in Africa; strengthen and mentor the capacity of diverse communications teams to identity, document and share high impact communications and knowledge management deliverables. I guide Senior Leadership, Country Directors and Project Leaders to communicate their vision to their teams and inspire audiences to take action.
