Danielle Robinson joined Jackson in 2006 to create the company’s first-ever Corporate Social Responsibility program. The Jackson National Community Fund and Jackson in Action were launched in 2007 and since then, Jackson has awarded more than $75 million in grants and matching gifts to nonprofits across the US and increased its associate volunteer time to thousands of hours annually. Jackson was named Most Outstanding Corporate Citizen by the Michigan Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2009, was a top finalist for the Governor’s Service Award in 2010 and 2014, received the Business Volunteer Service Award by the Capital Area United Way in 2018 and has won numerous other industry and community awards since 2007. Jackson has been recognized four times with the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award for the company’s 5,000+ volunteer hours annually with Junior Achievement. In 2017, Jackson established the Jackson Charitable Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit with the mission to advance financial education in the U.S. Robinson serves as the Foundation’s Executive Director and oversees its work teaching the basics of personal finance to more than 1.5 million students annually in classrooms across the country. In 2021, Robinson took a lead role as the company formalized its independent ESG reporting and programs, upon separation from its parent company. She serves on Jackson’s ESG working group and led the publication of the company’s inaugural ESG report. Robinson serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity, Capital Region and is a member of the Lansing Funders Roundtable. She volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, Ele’s Place, Junior Achievement, Meals on Wheels, Mother Teresa House, Volunteers of America and the St. John’s Music Ministry. Robinson was recognized in 2009 with the Lansing Chamber of Commerce’s 10 Over the Next Ten award and in 2018 by LIMRA as one of 10 Rising Stars of Retirement under 40. In 2022, she was named a ThinkAdvisor Luminaries finalist in the category of community impact recognized for the many dynamic and inclusive ways Robinson is driving the wealth, investment, and retirement industry forward.
