I'm living my dream - working for my wonderful alma mater, leading the Ithaca College Park School of Communications. I've been a professor here since 1979 and in March 2010 was honored to have been chosen as Dean.Through my consulting firm, Gayeski Analytics, I also engage in select projects to help clients assess and adopt new approaches to organizational communication and learning. I've led over 300 projects since 1980, and my clients include GE, Abbott Diagnostics, the US Navy, Bank of Montreal, Panasonic, and Cornell University. I've also served as an external program / curriculum reviewer and workshop presenter for several universities.I hold a Ph.D. in educational administration and instructional technology and have taught at the undergrad and graduate levels in both the design and management of corporate communication and learning. I am also an occasional graduate adjunct faculty member at Boise State University and have been a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Hanken School of Business and Economics in Finland.I'm the author of 14 books and a frequent speaker on trends and principles in organizational communication and learning, and on communicating with 'Nexters' (Gen-Y people age 16-28). Currently, I'm wrapping up the 3rd edition of 'Managing the Communications Function', a professional manual published by the International Assoc of Business Communicators.I'm interested in making connections that would further my research agenda in higher education leadership , new media, and in managing corporate communication and learning systems.Specialties: Higher education administration and curriculum design/ assessmentEvaluation and strategic planning for training and communication functionse-learningmobile communication / training technologiesROI / valuation of communication and learningintangible assetscommunicating with / recruiting / retaining/ training 'Nexters'Generational issues in the workplace
