Regional Marketing Manager
When Al and Jerry Lapin opened the first International House of Pancakes in Toluca Lake, California on July 7, 1958, they never dreamed that five decades later the family restaurant they founded would become the American icon it is today. From humble beginnings, we have grown to become the leading Family Dining brand with more than 1,650 IHOP restaurants across the globe. Today, IHOP is the place where people connect over breakfast, enjoy study breaks, grab a bite before or after sporting events, and so much more. No matter what menu items they order, there's one ingredient that's always constant a smile.
As a creative and innovative marketer, I set the standard for local sponsorship negotiation and promotion activation in all of the Hardee's markets for which I was responsible. In addition, I became an expert at local restaurant marketing (LRM) and very adept at creating guerrilla marketing strategies and tactics. I bring that same creative passion to my current role and provide forward thinking ideas. During my tenure with Hardee's and its affiliated agencies, I stayed ahead of competitors by out thinking them through innovation. My experience in media sales gave me an advantage because I understood what was truly possible with media and promotion sponsorship opportunities. My background in media sales has been of key benefit and given me a competitive edge as a marketer by gaining an understanding and increased competency of all facets of both traditional and social media platforms. I believe in forging partnerships, and that has paid dividends in mass over the years. Together with marketing partners, we have hammered out real partnerships that benefit all parties involved. During my time at GTECH I helped to innovate and concept several initiatives that were first of their kind to the industry including Arfpocalypse: Zombie Dog Fest. The Hoosier Lottery sold sponsorships to outside vendors and included lottery retailers in a sponsorship capacity. Animal shelters from across the state of Indiana participated free of charge and the event featured a concert performance by Here Come the Mummies. I also coordinated a first of its kind opportunity with the Lucky Dog Scratch-off game and gained the participation of animal shelters throughout the state who provided Lucky Dog Scratch-off tickets as adoption incentives. Bottom line, if you're looking for a creative and innovative marketer with the sensibility that comes with nuts and bolts know how of how to get things done and drive sales, then I'm someone you should consider as a consultant and team member.
