With a multi-million dollar war chest – one of the largest seed funds acquired by a Singapore-based start-up – goGame has launched a revolutionary free-to-publish system where game makers can rapidly and easily launch their game without the hassle of dealing with the essential incidental processes. David is a veteran in the tech and games industry. He cut his teeth in the late 80s and early 90s helping tech brands from Singapore and Taiwan expand into Russia and other Asian regions. He was there when perestroika and glasnost were the buzzwords in Russia. In 1998, he co-founded Linksys Asia and built the global distribution business for Linksys – starting back in the days before Linksys routers were even made, until the company was bought out by Cisco in 2003. After that, he moved into other businesses including gaming, where he was general manager of Asia Online for Electronic Arts Asia and also group Managing Director of a Malaysian conglomerate with diversified interests in gambling, property, F&B among others. Since starting gumi’s Asian arm in Singapore in 2012, he successfully localised gumi’s mobile Role Playing game Brave Frontier for several markets. The title was translated into 12 languages, and garnered more than 20 million downloads. In 2014, Brave Frontier joined the global top 10 grossing games in the Apple and Google Play stores. Mr Ng snagged another first for gumi Asia when he won a coveted contract to create a mobile game for Disney’s Big Hero 6.
