As Director of Consulting for beverages and dairy within GlobalData’s consumer-focused brand, Canadean, I work with many of the world’s most iconic food and drinks brands to form effective business strategies, assess market opportunities and evaluate potential investments. Through my career I have successfully directed over 80 bespoke consulting projects for large corporates, SMEs and private equity companies with interests in the food and drinks sectors. I’ve led teams in 22 countries across North and South America, Europe, Middle East, North and West Africa, Central Asia and South-East Asia. Some examples of projects include: ► Assessing the market, operational and financial feasibility of launching a market-leading dairy business in Iraq. ► Assessing the financial viability of entering the Saudi bottled water market through greenfield development versus acquisition. ► Assessing the commercial opportunity and financial feasibility of transforming an existing dairy company in Oman from its number 4 position to a market leadership position. ► Assessing the commercial opportunity and financial viability of establishing a large juice business in Russia. ► Commercial and operational due diligence for the acquisition of a food and drinks company in Eastern Europe with 5 sites in three countries. ► Commercial, operational and environmental due diligence for the acquisition of a soft drinks company in Turkey with 3 factories and 12 other sites. ► Quality improvement programme for a global ingredients supplier with 14 production sites and 52 warehousing operations worldwide. I hold an MBA with Distinction from the University of Bath and an MEng in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Nottingham.
