Chris Scully began his career in the music industry working in his family’s business, L.J. Scully Manufacturing witnessing first hand the importance passion, focus and attention to detail, plays in creating and running a successful business.89-Scully joined Ernst & Young, auditing and consulting for, PolyGram, Virgin, EMI and Island Records. 92-He joined PolyGram Merchandising as a Sr. Financial Analyst. He developed all financial, reporting and royalty. He departed at the culmination of PolyGram’s Woodstock ’94 when his abilities as a start-up and turnaround specialist became apparent. 95-Scully started EMI Merchandising as Director, Finance and Operations. While at EMI he created the first 100% environmentally friendly music merchandising product line for The Beatles Anthology series, “Apple Organics”, and was nominated for the United Nations Environmental Merchandiser of the Year award. 96–Scully joined Matador Records as their CFO. He increased bottom line results 30% over 3 years.00-Scully was VP, Finance and Operations, for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s Internet/Direct Commerce division. He managed 190 employees across four divisions, Internet, Catalog, Weddings and Flowers and oversaw revenue growth of 55% while reducing projected headcount for operating business unit by 47%.01–Scully served as VP, Financial Operations for Warner Music Group. Scully was part of a select team of specialists chosen to coordinate and execute the sale of WMG to Edgar Bronfman and investors, including THL, Bain Capital and Providence Equity.
