Maria Sotra is Vice President of Marketing at Geotab. With 10 years of experience driving business growth through impactful marketing and strategic communications, Maria leads the global marketing direction for Geotab, one of North America’s fastest growing tech companies in the Internet of Things (IoT) – telematics.Maria has built a strong foundation in both theory and business practice: Maria holds an executive Masters in Communication Management (MCM) and, most recently, has completed a Harvard Business School program focused on driving digital strategy. Prior to Geotab, Maria co-founded a creative marketing agency largely focused on digital marketing and design. During this time, Maria provided consulting and marketing support to about 50 businesses, which were a mix of local and national. As an entrepreneurial-spirited marketer, Maria has a sharp creative eye, practical knowledge for coding and search engine optimization, strong expertise in digital marketing strategy, ability to build new teams in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment, and develop, manage, and grow brands on a global scale.
