Enthusiastic and experienced editor and news and feature writer (Times, Telegraph, Evening Standard) who has confidently made the move into media relations. I write high-quality thought leadership pieces on behalf of partners/senior executives for the national press and develop and manage sensitive media campaigns such as inquests, current civil claims against Harvey Weinstein, terrorist attack and catastrophic child injury cases with the press, TV, radio. I act as the go-between for clients and lawyers and selected media to get important stories to the public and generate impact, such as the Sunday Times safer births campaign and the Standard s ongoing call for better road safety. I'm also a ferocious web and blog editor and teach Write Better workshops to board level, including humanising technical content to make it widely accessible. My background in TV documentary has left me able to become an expert in pretty much any subject very quickly, from science, sports, the arts, law, health, education and finance. My time as a sub-editor on the City desk at the Telegraph has left me comfortable dealing with business and political content. I take great delight in grappling with complicated subject matter and turning it into fascinating and accessible copy. I now understand the Cambrian fossil explosion, and that's saying something.
