Extron Electronics Company is an electrical/electronic manufacturing company that manufactures AV system integration products including AV control systems.

I have worked in the Audio Visual integration industry on the manufacturing side of the business since 1991. Through the years I have gained an appreciation for products that are not only made well, but are well thought out and easy to use. As the industry in which I work grows more intertwined and products become more of a commodity, my goal is to create new products, both hardware and software, that are easy to use, install and configure for even the novices in the industry. I have found that by communicating my ideas and visions to the teams which I manage, while providing subsequent guidance and empowerment it enables free thinking. This approach enables results that are time and cost balanced and meet the customer's needs. I proposed creating the first Ethernet enabled AV control system back in the mid 90's and today, almost every AV control system delivered in the market supports IP connectivity. As the AV and IT industry are continuing to merge, it is more important than ever to create software solutions that make the sale, integration and support of products easier and less time consuming for the integrator and customer alike.
