I am proud of my two beautiful children Cammy and Maddie. Cammy is at college studying computing whilst working part time at Game and Maddie is starting her GCSE’s. Being a parent is one of the most rewarding things in life. I am passionate about music and into a vast array of genres, good music is good music. Outside of listening I play many forms of dance music and have been DJ’ing since I was 21. I am teaching myself to produce music from the perspective of a sound engineer. I am a geek at heart and have lots of technical projects. I enjoy programming my bespoke home MIDI LED lighting system. I love understanding how things work and will often try to fix something by taking it apart to understand its engineering. I am mad about plants and a member of RHS. My home is filled with plants, including to my husband’s annoyance lots of ill plants that I pick up to rescue. My garden is planted for bees with lots of architectural plants. I have many plant projects where I try to maximize plants including hanging them from ceilings. My shed has a green roof that I started 3 years ago, where I am in the process of improving the overall aesthetics of the planting. When I find time, I love reading fiction and non-fiction, my favourite author is Terry Pratchett, Ook! I am passionate about the arts, before COVID happened I would be out at least once a week to an off-West End show or event. I am a trained scuba diver but only do this on holiday. I enjoy keeping fit. I generally swim or use the gym during my lunch break; COVID has meant a big rethink; this helps me to focus in the afternoon. I keep myself current on new trends and technologies with Pluralsight and other online technology sites. I aim to be as ethical as possible concerning my impact on the planet, my most recent endeavour is the addition of solar panels and a battery for our house. I am a disruptive thinker who will continuously improve the culture and operation of my teams and the wider business. I get huge satisfaction from coaching individuals at all levels. I am delivery focused understanding that first to market is an important factor to a business’s successful domination of its domain. I am an agile practitioner, but I understand that agile must be adapted to fit within the framework of the business and domain. I am a DevOps practitioner but more importantly believe in ensuring the transparency of teams, processes, metrics, and alerting.
