Ecumen is one of the nation's top 20 largest non-profit providers of senior housing and aging services. Based in Shoreview, Minn., Ecumen operates in 38 cities in Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan, Idaho and Tennessee, providing a variety of senior housing options and services including independent living, assisted living and long-term care communities as well as at-home and community-based services such as home care and hospice. Dedicated to empowering individuals to lead richer, fuller lives, Ecumen prides itself on innovation and radically changing the way aging is viewed and understood. Ecumen, founded more than 150 years ago, was named "Best Places to Work" nine times by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal and one of Minnesota's Top Workplaces by the Minneapolis Star Tribune and Minnesota Monthly Magazine.

I graduated with my PhD from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Organizational Leadership and have had many titles in my career. President and CEO of Ecumen, a senior housing provider with 4,000 employees and over 11,000 customers. I am looking to not only expand their numbers, but their services. First woman to be Chair of the Metropolitan Sport Facilities Commission, appointed in 1999 by then Governor Ventura. Fought and won against Major League Baseball. The Commission kept the Twins in Minneosta and playing baseball for the 2003 season and beyond. Served 12 years as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Zoo and led a great rebound in attendance and revenues. The School of Environmental Studies at the zoo in collaboration with the Appple Valley School District opens and graduates about 200 students yearly. Interested in public policy and served under all three political parties. I consider myself a good public servant working outside government as well.
