Cargo Management • Provide efficient support and track all cargo movement. • Direct and coordinate through subordinate supervisory personnel, terminal cargo and ramp activities to provide fast and efficient services for clients and passengers. • Prepare loading plans for each departing shipment; confers with supervisory personnel to ensure workers and equipment is available for cargo and baggage loading / unloading. • Analyze reports and records of operations and inspects facilities to determine effectiveness of existing methods and procedures and physical condition of facilities plus equipment. • Prepare and submit recommendations designed to improve efficiency of cargo services. • Investigate causes of accidents and recommend safety measures. • Review performance evaluations of personnel for conformance to standards. • Direct and coordinate training activities to increase workers' efficiency and proficiency. Logistics • Responsible for handling documentation/ customs clearance formalities ensuring updates to customers, delivering cargo on time and invoicing. • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations related to the customer requirements. • Collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities or, in the case of shortages, to minimize negative impacts on a business. • Review logistics performance against targets, benchmarks and service agreements.
