Previously served as Chief Operations Officer at du (www.du.ae) responsible for customer operations, network development & operations, IT, products engineering and operations planning & services. In previous roles at du as Chief Commercial Officer responsible for all of marketing, sales, customer care, international carrier relations, brand & communications and business development. Also as Executive Vice President of Commercial and as Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs handled corporate program management, telecom regulatory affairs, corporate governance and investor relations. Was also involved in developing policies and strategic directions. Prior to joining du, served as the Deputy General Manager - Telecom for TECOM Investments (www.tecom.ae) and played a key role in the successful implementation of the information communications technology clusters in Dubai such as the Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village, Dubai Healthcare City and other business parks. Currently member of the Board of Directors of Khazna Data Center Limited (www.khazna.ae). Previously served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Interoute Communications Limited (www.interoute.com), one of Europe’s fastest growing telecoms providers, for three years, and served on the Board of Trustees for the UAE ICT Development Fund (www.ictfund.gov.ae). Also was a founding member of the Information Technology Forum in the UAE. In 2003, was nominated by TECOM Investments in the Distinguished Government Employee category in the Dubai Government Excellence Program Awards. Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from Baylor University in Texas (USA) and attended management and leadership programs at IMD and Cranfield University.
