Bilstad currently leads legal, compliance and corporate activities for Beachbody® (NYSE: BODY), a health & wellness and connected fitness leader, and previously led legal, compliance and gov't affairs for dosist™, an award-winning cannabis health-tech company, where he continues to serve as a board member. Bilstad previously managed legal and bus. affairs at global sports entertainment pioneer, WWE (NYSE: WWE) during its unprecedented market growth period (2015-2018), and served as the principal legal advisor to Chairman/CEO and mgmt. team. Bilstad also served as a strategic advisor to OTT indie film network, Fandor. Before 2015, Bilstad managed all legal matters and public affairs for Provide Commerce, an e-commerce market disruptor (formerly Nasdaq: PRVD) specializing in the direct-model delivery of perishables and other unique gifts through its brands ProFlowers®, RedEnvelope and Shari’s Berries®, among others. He assisted in the company's highly profitable growth from $90M in annual net sales to over $750M at peak, selling the company twice (to Liberty Media-'08 and FTD-'14). Previously, he managed corporate legal affairs for VUNet USA, the U.S. Internet group of Vivendi Universal (Euronext: VIV.PA), and for MP3.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: MPPP), a pioneering online music company that was acquired by Vivendi Universal in 2001. Prior to MP3.com, Bilstad was a business associate at the law firm of Cooley Godward. Bilstad holds a JD cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was the Executive Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Tech. and winner of the Irving Oberlin Mem. Award writing prize. He holds a B.A. magna cum laude from Duke, and studied at Oxford.
