Chris’ practice emphasis is on handling health care and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) governed employee benefit matters. He has represented national health care companies, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, diagnostic testing facilities, post-acute care providers, physicians and dentists in the formation, development, acquisition and disposition of health care facilities; compliance, contracting and operations; licensing and certification; reimbursement; and litigation in matters which implicate federal and state anti-kickback, self-referral (Stark), health information privacy (HIPAA), and false claim laws Chris’ practice also includes providing advice and counsel to welfare and pension plan sponsors, administrators and other fiduciaries regarding compliance with ERISA regarding litigation matters, plan design, plan termination and merger and acquisition activities.
