Director of Planned Giving at American Friends Service Committee 1987 til 1998. Volunteer with Balkan Peace Teams, Belgrade, Serbia, and Prishtina Kosovo 1998-1999 Lyn has given talks about her experiences working with youth in the former Yugoslavia. In 2010 she returned to the former Yugoslavia and has been a guest speaker at various venues since her return. She was the program coordinator at Lutheran Children and Family Services until 2010. Now partially retired, Lyndon is an independent researcher and research consultant.She has been awarded several grants to continue her research in Poland, and in the former Yugoslavia. Lyn serves as clerk of membership for the American Friends Service Committee Nobel Peace Prize Group. Two of Lyndon's short stories have appeared recently. One in the January 2015 issue of Forge journal, called "Balloon Head." and the second story, also based on her most recent trip to the former Yugoslavia, appeared in the March 2015 issue of Gemini Magazine, "After the War, Notes from a Balkan Journal. " Lyndon researched the life of Rebecca Janney Timbres Clark. She has written a Pendle Hill Pamphlet, and several articles on the Quaker Mission in Poland at the end of the First World War which appeared in Quaker History, and Friends Journal. In 20012 and 2013,Lyndon worked as a research assistant on a project involving the Friends Ambulance Unit in China during World War II. Her article, "George Fox and the Gnostic Gospels" appeared in the July issue of Friends Journal.
