Crest Insurance Group is a new name on the insurance landscape in Arizona, but our roots go deep. Our story began in 1975 in Tucson when Bob Mueller founded Mueller & Associates from the remnants of a savings and loan owned agency named United Palomar. Bob and his group sold Mueller & Associates to Compass Bank in 2003. Compass Bank was later acquired by BBVA, a multinational bank based in Spain in 2007, and the firm continued to grow.\r\n\r\nA group of senior members of the firm acquired the agency from BBVA Compass Bank on June 1, 2010. Cody Ritchie assumed the role of president of the newly formed Crest Insurance Group with a vision to develop the firm to be the preeminent agency based in Arizona. Continually growing, Crest now has offices in both the Tucson and Phoenix areas and with experienced producers who provide expertly-tailored insurance policies to clients throughout the United States. \r\n\r\nAs professionals and as community members, we pride ourselves on being the best at what we do. I have over 35 years of experience in Finance, Accounting and Information Systems. I currently serve as Chief Financial Officer for Crest Insurance Group. Crest is an independent insurance brokerage company with four offices in Arizona and one in San Diego. I supervise the Accounting function and support the company’s aggressive growth and acquisition plans. Prior to joining CREST, I spent eleven months working with an early stage startup company, RBar Energy. RBar makes and distributes delicious, clean energy bars. Since moving on to Crest, I have scaled back my involvement, but continue to consult and help out on a part-time basis. I spent the majority of my career (30 years) working with Golden Eagle Distributors in a number of capacities. Golden Eagle is a statewide beverage distributor headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. I served as Vice President, CFO from 2002 thru 2015. I was responsible for all Accounting functions and was heavily involved in the acquisition of a wide array of brand and product extensions. During my early career at Golden Eagle I held leadership positions in Accounting, Information Systems and Human Resources. I received a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona in 1979. In 1999 I received an MBA from the University of Arizona Eller School of Business. I have contributed time to a number of boards and charitable organizations in the Tucson community. I have been a member of the Tucson Conquistadores since 2003. The Conquistadores raise and donate funds for youth athletic programs in Tucson and Southern Arizona. I previously served on the boards of The Wings Like Eagles Foundation, Mental Health Resources and Imago Dei Middle School.
