Dr Parves has over 14 years of experience in academic course and program development within the Marketing discipline including teaching and course coordination for the flexible, distance/online and face-to-face students. He has published over 50 research articles in international journals, reviewed conference proceedings and as book chapter(s). About 85% of these published papers are in FoR code 1505 (Marketing). Dr Parves received a number of research grants; valued over A$98,000.00, and both from internal and external sources. He led projects with successful outcomes and managed various stakeholders. His research interests include: (a) Marketing—service quality, customer/student satisfaction index models, marketing approach to higher education, consumer behavior, services marketing, social and sustainable marketing, tourism marketing, branding, marketing promotions/communications, internationalization of firms and international trade, Islamic marketing and finances; (b) Health—public health beliefs–perceptions–attitudes–human/patient behavior, rural health, health care centers’ quality and herbal or complementary and alternative medicines; (c) Development—food and food safety, sustainable consumption, development and business practice, migration and human development, women development, micro-credit, and economic/social development indicators. Dr Parves received a number of international competitive scholarships such as IPRS, JDS, HealthCRN. He is an ad-hoc reviewer to a number of reputed journals and conference proceedings such as JBR, JIM, APJML, IJFSM, Marketing Science, QAE. JAES, ANZMAC and ANZAM.
