A seasoned executive experienced in the private and the public sectors. Active in corporate governance, financial markets, capital markets and all aspects of financial management. Former Senior Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at the CPP Investment Board, I was responsible for all aspects of the finance and legal functions, including corporate and investment finance, treasury, performance, enterprise reporting, investment risk, tax, internal audit, governance, legal risk, corporate secretarial and compliance. From 2008 to 2013, I held the role of SVP and Chief Operations Officer. I previously held senior leadership positions with Northwater Capital, Canada Development Investment Corporation and KPMG. I’m active on several boards, including Scotiabank, Methanex Corporation, SNC-Lavalin, Crestone Peak Resources, Canadian Public Accountability Board and Queen’s University Board of Trustees. I hold an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University and am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and ICD.D. I’ve been recognized three times as one of “Canada’s Most Powerful Women – Top 100” and in 2016 was inducted in the WXN Hall of Fame. In 2017, I was honored with a CFO Special Recognition Award for Social responsibility and mentoring. I’ve also been selected as one of the 50 diverse board-ready candidates in the Canadian Board Diversity Council’s first-ever Diversity 50.
