Lisa Bloom attended Colorado State University where she passionately studied dance and social work. After college, Lisa initiated a successful career as a social worker and delved into the challenging and fulfilling work of counseling disadvantaged youth in an after-school program. Lisa began to offer yoga sessions during the program and saw the positive effects yoga had on the children, most of whom lived in broken homes, suffered from abuse, or dealt with serious mental health issues.When the after-school program was cut due to budget constraints, Lisa naturally transitioned to teaching yoga at CorePower Yoga. She was inspired to serve her students and watched people’s lives being touched and transformed through their practice. Her passion for hard work—on and off the mat—translated into classes that balanced accessibility with challenge and encouraged students to find their own expression and path.Eager to accept challenges and become more involved in the business, Lisa first accepted a studio manager position in Denver, then, in July 2005, she relocated to Minneapolis where she managed the sole CorePower Yoga studio in Minnesota. Through creative vision and a strong work ethic, as Regional Manager, Lisa fostered the growth of CorePower Yoga’s expansion throughout Minnesota. In 2013, Lisa was promoted to Director of Operations of the Midwest States for Minnesota and Illinois, where she oversaw operations, trained and educated Regional, Area, and Studio Managers. She has been instrumental in the Minnesota and Chicago region’s strong growth and successful track record. Under Lisa’s strong leadership, the Chicago market has been the fastest growing CPY market to date. Additionally, Lisa has broadened her territory to bring her leadership presence to the great state of Texas. She is excited to help guide the operations in Austin, as well as help open and establish the Dallas market in 2014.
