W. Thomas Fahs is a Senior Development Manager for COPT Development & Construction Services, a division of Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT), which is an office REIT that focuses primarily on strategic customer relationships and specialized tenant requirements in the U.S. Government and Defense Information Technology sectors and Data Centers serving such sectors. Thomas is responsible for oversight of the development process on various new and redevelopment projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for COPT with a specific focus in Anne Arundel County, MD. Most notably, Thomas has been responsible for the development of several new office buildings at The National Business Park and has led the development of The National Business Park North master plan expansion from inception, which is a 200-acre, 2,000,000 square foot mixed-use development.Thomas has more than 20 years of real estate experience in the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining COPT in 2006, Thomas was involved in various aspects of commercial and multi-family development with real estate companies in both the Baltimore and Washington D.C. markets. Thomas is a LEED Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and has obtained certifications of training through the Army Corps of Engineers’ Protective Design Center for Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) site and building design. As an active member of NAIOP (MD), Thomas participates in several committees for the betterment of the real estate industry.
