Prior to CFO promotion with Exelon Utilities, served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer of Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd) where he had direct responsibility for all of ComEd's finance activities, including financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, business planning, financings and risk management. ComEd is a unit of Chicago-based Exelon Corporation, and it delivers electricity to approx. 3.8 million residential and business customers across northern Illinois. (70% of the state’s population.) A certified public accountant in Illinois and Florida, joined Exelon Corporation and served in director-level positions in corporate accounting and corporate financial planning and analysis. Responsible for enhancing the accounting, internal reporting, external reporting, and controls processes for Exelon. Served as vice president and assistant corporate controller prior to his current position. Played a key role in significant potential business transactions and initiatives including: all aspects of the accounting close and SEC reporting process; all aspects of technical accounting; and the operations of corporate, plant and payroll accounting as well as consolidated Exelon. Earlier in career, served in senior manager roles with the public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers in Philadelphia.
