I most enjoy perceiving an opportunity for growth/value using technology, and then helping realize it. Embracing the status quo doesn't sit well with me. When I first started leading the web group, they were under-performing and unfocused. I adopted scrum methodologies and with few additional adjustments, the team's productivity improved over 150% with clear and measurable results. In addition to enhancing processes or people, I distill complex technical issues to meaningful, actionable feedback. Day to day I manage projects, develop staff, and, when I can, provision a VMWare virtual server or tune SQL. Outside of work, I spend my time fly fishing and traveling. My perfect day includes hiking to a remote river and spending hours in a stream teasing trout to take my fly. Additionally, I relish visiting new places and people by traveling internationally. At 12 years old, I spent time in Honduras and caught the travel bug. Since then, I've traveled extensively including living in Spain for a season.
