Cognosante is an information technology services company which provides health IT solutions, business process outsourcing services, and consulting.

Currently I am an Assistant Director for Arkansas Medicaid and the Chief Information Officer, CIO. I also have the responsibility of Project Director for the Arkansas Medicaid Enterprise (AME) Project Management Office (PMO). We are in the process of replacing the Medicaid Management Information System or MMIS. This system processes and pays all of Arkansas Medicaid claims and is one of the largest IT replacement projects the state has ever undertaken. Working with state and contracted staff to implement the best possible system for both the Medicaid provider and recipient communities. We are doing a phased approach by awarding separate parts of the system to different venders to allow the state to get a "best of breed" vendor. We have three components to our system with staggered start and go live dates.
