Ian is the Head of Customer Insight and Strategy for Close Brothers Banking division in London. He is responsible for working with Bank Functions and Business Units to optimise the customer experience and to drive the digital agenda to engage new and existing customer segments and create new markets for the business. A key part of his role is setting up a customer centre of excellence to put the customer at the heart of every decision and embed a culture of agility and continuous improvement. He started his career in Australia before moving to the UK in 2006. He has over 13 years of experience selling and delivering strategy and complex transformation engagements for clients across the Energy and Utilities, Media and Entertainment and Telecommunications industry. He has led engagements on customer experience improvement, operating model transformation and complex systems integration. He has a deep understanding of digital transformation, particularly in the mobile space. His mix of business and technical knowledge has been a key factor in his success. He has an excellent track record of building strong relationships and leading teams to deliver results in challenging time frames. He is proactive, innovative and is recognised for his ability to identify innovative solutions to complex business issues. He considers himself a champion of the user and the customer, ensuring they are at the heart of every change.
