PROFESSIONAL BIO: As VP of Sustainability for Whole Foods Market, Caitlin is responsible for creating and implementing the company’s sustainability vision and strategy in more than 550 stores worldwide. From waste reduction, to energy management, to water and land stewardship, Caitlin works to improve Whole Foods Market's impact as a company and plays a key role in developing new social and environmental practices. She joined Whole Foods in July of 2021, after over a decade of leading Sustainability for Chipotle. Caitlin received her BA in journalism from the University of New Hampshire where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She then went on to earn her Masters in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge in the UK in 2016. She was appointed to a two year term on the Mayor’s Sustainability Advisory Council for the City of Denver. She currently resides in Orange County, California. PERSONAL BIO: I am a passionate lover of food and the connection it has with community. I have a particular fascination with the journey from market to mouth. You can find me most weekends at the local farmers' market, browsing the produce and chatting with the growers, or at that special neighborhood restaurant, getting to know the team that supports it- and enjoying the fruits of their labor. I always, always, cook on Sundays- usually a meal that I have been dreaming up the entire week. And above all else, I find great gratification in sharing a meal with family and friends.
