I am an experienced and engaged board director with a background of senior executive roles. My executive experience includes large scale senior and chief executive roles in investment and commercial banking and asset management. My approach has always involved a keen focus on developing a workplace culture that attracts and inspires individuals of the highest calibre in terms of capability, integrity and the ability to translate opportunity into results. In investment banking, I held leadership roles in financial markets, commodities, corporate finance and advisory businesses. I was a member of the executive committee of Commonwealth Bank of Australia, as Group Executive of the Institutional Banking and Markets division, including through the Global Financial Crisis. In asset management, I led Australia's fastest growing active funds management business. Through executive and non-executive roles, I have developed deep industry expertise across financial services, aviation, mining, education and in various areas of philanthropic interest. Board contribution includes deep expertise in Risk and Compliance (including audit committee experience), People and Culture, Investment Committee and as a financial expert.
