• Provide day-to-day advising by staffing and managing University Program Council (UPC) Office. • Supervise UPC Graduate Assistant and Co-advise UPC Executive Board: President, Internal Vice President, External Vice President, Financial Manager, Primary Programmer, Secretary, Membership Coordinator, Marketing Chair, Communications Chair, Entertainment Chair, and Diversity/Education Chair. • Support UPC Executive Board in responsible decision-making, assessing student interests, responding to student needs and anticipating student programming/leadership issues. • Assist UPC in developing and presenting the annual UPC budget request, monitoring monthly financial reports, and preparing the annual UPC financial report. • Provide continuity to University Program Council (UPC) throughout member changes. • Conduct all Student Affairs and UPC contract and fee negotiations with artists, managers, and/or agents; reviews/screens artist materials and performances, as appropriate; reviews contracts for liability, litigation venue, and payment issues, and prepares for signature authorization. • Attend weekly meetings of UPC Executive Board, General Council, and advisee one-on-ones. • Advise day, evening and weekend UPC events. • Participate in overall department activities, such as strategic planning, evaluation and development of programs and policies, outreach programs or promotional activities; recommends improvements or changes to increase effectiveness or meet changing needs. • Participate in University-wide organizations. • Participate as an active staff member in all Student Involvement training, orientation, and staff development meetings, programs and committees.
