Carolinas HealthCare System is the largest healthcare provider in North and South Carolina, and one of the largest employers in Charlotte-Mecklenburg. Named the 2015 John E. Gall, Jr. CIO of the Year by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and HIMSS. As senior vice president and chief information and analytics officer for Carolinas HealthCare System, I have overall System responsibility for information services, data analytics and strategy. As a leader in the information services field, I have worked with federal and state legislative and executive branch leaders to create standards and norms for health information technology. Under my leadership, Carolinas HealthCare System has earned the “Most Wired” designation for 13 consecutive years and in 2016 received the “Most Wired Advanced” distinction. We are the only healthcare system in North and South Carolina to achieve the HIMSS EMR Adoption Model Stage 7 for both Acute and Ambulatory. I am a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society; Chairman of Premier Member Technology Improvement Committee; Board Member of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Foundation, CareConnect, and Carolinas Shared Services. I hold a masters of business administration degree and a bachelor’s degree in system analysis.
