Richard is a born and raised Houstonian. However, he left Houston to attend Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. While at Oregon State, he earned a Finance/Business Administration degree and an International Business Option via their study abroad program in Aarhus, Denmark. Following graduation, Richard worked for JP Morgan in their Real Estate Capital Markets group and US Capital Advisors' Investment Banking Group. Richard eventually made his way to Camden Property Trust. He now serves as a Manager of Real Estate Investments. He is responsible for sourcing, executing, and evaluating acquisition, development, and disposition opportunities. He originally focused on Texas, Arizona, California, and Colorado. Later turning his attention to Camden's entry into Nashville, TN, and now focuses on expanding Camden's portfolio in Phoenix, AZ. At Camden, he has worked on $2.5 billion of acquisitions in Georgia, Florida, Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, and Tennessee, $625 million of development projects in Texas, Colorado, and Tennessee, and $816 million in dispositions in Texas and Nevada. In addition, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, cooking, sports, music, movies, hiking, fishing, and anything you want to talk about.
