• Responsible for security selection within the health care sector for several investment strategies. Investment approach consists of identifying securities across the entire capital structure with durable growth characteristics, defensible competitive moats, large addressable markets, potential catalysts, high probability of positive revisions to consensus estimates, favorable market sentiment, and attractive valuations. • Draft both extensive company research reports and timely updates with concise recommendations. • Perform qualitative assessments of company fundamentals, competitive positioning, and risks along with quantitative examinations of discounted cash flows, returns on invested capital, and comparative multiples. • Build and maintain detailed financial statements with a particular emphasis on forecasting bottoms-up revenue drivers and margins. Perform scenario analyses and develop probability-adjusted valuation targets. • Build comprehensive models to assess correlations and test investment theses. • Identify key industry themes and focus on emerging trends, secular shifts, and inflection points. Monitor industry publications, blogs, and news sites. • Utilize both primary and secondary information sources including SEC filings, company materials, management interviews, industry conferences, domain experts, and sell-side contacts. • Monitor current and prospective holdings relative to investment objectives, benchmarks, and firm macroeconomic outlook. Coordinate the implementation of investment decisions.
