Baylor College of Medicine in Houston is recognized as a premier academic health science center and is known for excellence in education, research and patient care.

Although I prize efficient and well run transactional processes, my passion is strategically engaging talent to align with the business needs of the organization. I am a seasoned human resources executive with the added benefit of a legal background. As the CHRO and Vice President of Human Resources: •The human resources team launched a comprehensive wellness program, which within in three years, was named the number one wellness program, by The Houston Business Journal, for companies with 5,000+ employees. •For the first time in Baylor College of Medicine’s one hundred year history, I lead a team that gained the College the recognition as a top workplace in the Houston area. •Working with the Board, I gained the needed buy-in to expand the scope of the Compensation Committee of the Board and rename it the HR and Compensation Committee. •I gained the needed support to launch a very popular organization-wide reward and recognition program that drives productivity. •I served as a founding member of the organization’s “Culture Club” that recommended and integrated a core set of values. •I leveraged our status as a community asset by engaging best in class for-profit businesses leaders to personally visit and advise our leadership team on best practices. •I am continually looking for opportunities to integrate technology and social media into our processes.
