David has been a Director of Azur since Sept 2017 and Non-Executive Chairman since October 2018. In February 2020 he stood down from his responsibilities at Cairn Capital Ltd to assume the role of Executive Chairman of Azur. His primary focus at Azur is to drive sustainable growth and to ensure that Azur is able to maximise its earnings ability by bringing the technological advantages it has to ever increasing books of profitable underwriting opportunities. Prior to Azur, David co-Founded and was a Director and member of the Executive Management Committee of Cairn Capital Ltd, a large UK based Asset Management Firm where he had overall responsibility for the firm’s Corporate Advisory Business. Cairn was sold to Mediobanca in 2015. He was formerly Global Head of Structured Credit Products with The Royal Bank of Scotland and has extensive experience of debt and credit products. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of MDC², a Real Estate Industrial and Logistics company in The Republic of Poland.
