I’m a forward-thinking leader who has held senior operations positions at a series of high performing fashion companies, helping to achieve supply chain excellence, stay ahead of change, and develop opportunities for growth. In my current role, I head Product Development and Sourcing at Awaytravel.com, an innovative travel brand and direct-to-consumer luggage company. Prior to that, I led Product Development, Manufacturing and Sourcing at TUMI, a globally recognized luxury brand. Major Accomplishments: I led TUMI through a period of rapid growth, built key partnerships critical to the brand's success, and headed operations as the company went public, becoming part of a larger global company. I improved speed to market, product quality, innovation, margins, sourcing strategy, and more. While there, our management team grew sales 4x in 10 years. Leadership experience: - developed global partnerships, built a world-class supply chain team - led new product development, sourcing strategy, forecasting, inventory planning, quality assurance - achieved manufacturing service levels (on time delivery, quality and responsiveness) - attained bottom line profitability, improving gross margins - worked closely with design, product management and marketing to meet customer demands, financial targets, quality and pricing goals - partnered with suppliers to ensure they develop engineering, sampling and new product capabilities equal to company needs - provided strategic direction and oversight to support global growth and brand development.
