Ron is a people-focused, senior executive business technologist, presently a Senior VP and CIO at AutoZone, the leading customer service and auto parts leader with global expansion plans. Ron was previously an SVP and divisional CIO with the Hewlett-Packard Company supporting the Enterprise Business segments. While there he has helped drive the industry-leading HPIT transformation reducing expenses more than in half while driving up the yield on investments by a factor three, a net 6X improvement in return on IT. He directly managed the standardization on SAP across 84 countries and simultaneous assimilated numerous acquisitions.Prior to HP, Ron spent almost a decade as the CIO for The Home Depot during which time they grew $100 billion in market cap and were named Computerworld's number 1 'Best Place to Work' three times and were in the top 20 each year they did the ratings. They earned numerous industry awards for innovation and excellence including a Smithsonian award and began international expansion going into Canada, Chili, Argentina and Mexico. Ron served on the Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Standards Board for 8 years (four as Chairman) where they developed commerce standards (EDI, UPC, RFID, CPFR. etc.) and co-founded the Global Commerce Initiative to harmonize standards globally. Served as CIO for Fleming Industries, at one time the largest CPG distributor, during a time of radical business change. Worked at Deloitte & Touche specializing in Retail, Health Care and Systems consulting and earned the firm's leadership award two years while there. Got hands-on technology experience at Delta Air Lines as a programmer analyst and was the project leader that developed Delta's Frequent Flyer system. Earned an MBA from Georgia State University while working at Delta Air Lines.
