Ausgrid has been operating for more than 100 years and has the largest electricity network in Australia. It supplies power to 1.7 million homes and businesses throughout Sydney, the Hunter and the Central Coast. The network is made up of more than 200 large electricity substations, 500,000 power poles, 30,000 small distribution substations and almost 50,000km of below and above ground electricity cables.
As the head of Ausgrid's Customer and Strategy group, I am leading a great team working towards a common goal - an Ausgrid which is trusted by the communities it serves, does so at a price our customers can afford, whilst building the capabilities we need for the future. I am currently responsible for driving the best outcomes for our 1.7 million customers and embedding our customer-first approach within the corporate strategy to provide them with affordable, reliable and sustainable electricity and future energy solutions. I have worked in energy markets and utilities infrastructure in Australia and the United Kingdom for the past 20 years. I am leveraging my experiences in a number of specialties, including regulation, commercial management, planning, business development and strategic accountabilities. I've also built a career in professional services, specialising as a Mergers & Acquisitions advisor within the energy, infrastructure and resources sectors and have experience as an energy trader with TXU European Energy Trading.
