Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. ~ Howard Thurman I traded in my combat boots to pursue my passion in the healthcare industry. After 5 years as an officer in the US Navy leading teams of 40+ sailors in the safe operation of warships and and a nuclear propulsion plant onboard an aircraft carrier, I left the military to make a difference in the lives of patients all over the world. I put my biomedical engineering and leadership background to great use designing minimally invasive medical devices, mastering the new product development process, collecting and designing to the voice of the customer, and the FDA/regulatory process. Wanting a deeper understanding of the business side and more of a voice in how business decisions were made, I pursued an MBA part time as I continued deepening my skills in device design. Upon completion of my degree, I transitioned into a new career of marketing. I spent two years in an accelerated Marketing Leadership Development Program, where I excelled at numerous projects across marketing functions and businesses to include: evidence generation from clinical literature, new product business case development, and brand agnostic customer solutions. I have held significant roles in both upstream and downstream marketing, and experiences across commodity product portfolios, developing markets, and disruptive capital (robotics). I specialize in medical devices, new product commercialization, brand management, cross functional leadership, developing and building high functioning teams, and thinking outside of the box to develop new innovative products and ways to reach our customers. I seek to inspire those whom I work with to think differently and dream big!
