Since 1982, I have worked in the Information Technology field with a variety of large companies and organizations, including some of the largest and most complex in the world. The focus has always been on very large scale transaction processing and data base systems. This has lead to a great deal of interest and activity in business process engineering (although that's not what we called it when I started doing it).Most recently, I have been the SVP, CIO & CISO of Associa. Associa is the world's leading provider of business services to Home Owner Associations (HOAs). I lead a team of more than 100 dedicated professionals responsible for all aspects of technology creation and operation at Associa as well as internal and external user support. I was also the CEO of an affiliated company which provides electronic documents for HOAs.I had complete P&L responsibility for that company.Over the years, I have worked on many very large projects at AT&T/Cingular/SBC, Pepsico, the State of California and The Money Store.I have been married for 31 years and have two daughters, currently 28 and 25. History, government and current events have always been a passion of mine and on my reading list. I love to travel, especially with my wife and daughters.
