As People Strategy Lead at Artsy, Gray drives the projects and programs that empower the people of Artsy. In particular, he runs initiatives undergirding company-wide performance management, people analytics, and learning & development. Additionally, Gray leads the visa program supporting foreign nationals and is the senior contributor to individualized coaching, employee relations, and organizational thought leadership at Artsy. He also manages junior members of the People Operations Team. Previously at Artsy, Gray held numerous roles in people ops generalist capacities. In his free time, Gray serves as a volunteer advisor to the leadership team for Out in Tech, helping to establish quarterly goals for the New York chapter. He also leads a professional networking & discussion group for People and HR leaders at small- to mid-sized New York tech companies. Prior to joining Artsy, Gray served as a Teaching Fellow with Princeton in Asia, where he developed his own curriculum and taught English to hundreds of students at Zhejiang University of Technology in Hangzhou, China. Gray completed his B.A. magna cum laude in Art and Archaeology at Princeton University, focusing on his passions of architecture, design, and technology. His award-winning senior thesis investigated the history of work theory and office architecture and the ways in which information technology has informed these realms in today's society. Outside the classroom, Gray was an active member of the student dance community as a member of two dance companies and President of the Princeton University Ballet.
